'EGGStraordinary' Spring Celebration

Each spring, the Parks & Recreation Department holds an Egg Decorating Contest and offers a

Spring Break Trip for youth. In addition, the Department co-sponsors with the Kiwanis Club to

provide the Annual Pancake Breakfast and 'Egg'straordinary Spring Celeberation. For more

San Gabriel’s Kid’s Day & 4th of July

Parade & Picnic

Wednesday, July 4th, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This year’s Parade will begin at Plaza Park and head through the Mission District to Smith Park where you will find food, fun, swimming and games. Registration is free, but you must register in order to be in the parade. Kids are welcome to ride their decorated tricycle, bike or scooter, or walk in the parade (prizes for best decorated).  Activities at Smith Park will include a watermelon eating contest, barbeque, games, entertainment and refreshments. 2012 Los Pobladores Historic Walk to Los Angeles

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2012 (TENTATIVE)

Join the historic walk from Plaza Park 428 Mission Drive, San Gabriel to El Pueblo Historic Monument (Olvera Street LA). The City of San Gabriel celebrates the 231st anniversary of the historic walk of the settlers that founded LA. Early morning start at 6:00 a.m.
