FIRE Administration Operations Engine 51 Engine 52 Rescue Ambulance 51 Battalion 5 Urban Search and Rescue Swiftwater Rescue Paramedic Program Training Emergency Preparedness Inspection Fire Prevention CERT Program RETURN TO CITY SERVICES Many department personnel are trained in high angle/low angle rescue, trench shoring, emergency building shoring and other USAR disciplines. In addition, the department has taken a proactive approach to swift water rescue due to the flood control channels that traverse our city. We are part of the Los Angeles County swift water task force. A number of our firefighters are trained to swift water tech levels including Helo ops. One of our firefighters is also a swift water rescue instructor.
